About Us

Our Mission 

The rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of neglected, abandoned, stray, and homeless cats and kittens.

Our Story

Founded in 2018 by Alysia Witherington, Breakfast Club Cats is an organization rooted in love, compassion, and patience, dedicated to supporting the stray cat communities in our area.
Starting with nothing, Alysia began rescuing local cats and started to address the problems of the ever-growing feral cat colonies she encountered in her own community.  Caring for cats in the little Kat Kottage and yard, often using her own funds for TNR and veterinary expenses, she started Breakfast Club Cats and began gathering local support for her mission.

Our Programs

Every week BCC is called upon to help with abandoned, neglected, homeless, or injured cats.  Some are part of a street cat colony that a community struggles to control, mother cats and kittens under a porch, stray cats hiding behind stores, or domesticated cats that can no longer be cared for by their owners. 
Breakfast Club Cats cares for local cats within three basic programs: 
  • Adoption (and Fostering)
  • Rescue (and Sanctuary)
  • TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release)

It Takes a Team

In 2025 some long-term volunteers stepped up to fill the roles as board members and officers. This new team helps Alysia  with fundraising, grants, events, new technologies, record keeping, accounting, and last but not least...taxes.

Watch Us Grow

Support for Alysia and her mission has continued to grow over the years. Witnessing her work in cramped home spaces inspired a committed donor base to fund the Kat Kottage, and in 2025, the Shelter and Catio.
